The Museum of the City of Koprivnica is located in the premises of the old town hall, which is particularly important for the history of Koprivnica, as it is the oldest preserved masonry building in the city of Koprivnica, which was used as an old magistrate since the 17th century, then as a sub-county, then the district court with the city prison, UNHCR premises -, SDK, and part of the building was also used as a temporary accommodation and social apartment. Since 1963, the Museum of the City of Koprivnica has been housed in a large part of the building, and only since 1997 has the old magistrate been used in its entirety for the needs of the Museum of the City of Koprivnica as a public institution of the general good.

The current museum collection includes charters of Koprivnica civil liberties from the 13th to the 15th centuries. centuries, stone monuments of the 14th - 18th centuries, the Koprivnica public and private exhibition and the exhibition dedicated to the Homeland War, which shows the military and political history of the city of Koprivnica in the first half of the nineties of the last century, including the actions Flash and Storm in 1995.
